These beautiful, upcycled cotton dish towels work. If you want to get as excited about kitchen linens as we now are, read on. Calling a rectangular swath of cotton a “dish towel” does not inherently mean it will do the job well. Ever had the feeling that you were just pushing water around the surface of the plate and hoping that helped the air drying process? Us, too. In some cases, the creepy chemicals in dryer sheets are to blame. (Can we interest you in a few dryer balls?) Assuming that’s not your issue, let’s look at what makes these dish towels live up to their name.

  • The “coarse” texture, almost a waffle knit, traps water (or whatever you’re wiping up) with no chance of escape.
  • They are 100% cotton. Supremely absorbent. Yeah, we know the environmental scaries of cotton agriculture. These babies are made of upcycled deadstock (overproduced from someone else’s order. Otherwise waste.) cotton textiles.
  • They are so classically good looking. The last two photos are of a set that has been used, washed, and dryer for several months now. No worse for the wear (Ware? Groan.)

Pack of four upcycled cotton dish towels.

Dimensions: 27" L x 18" W

Care Instructions: Spot treat for stains as needed. Wash and dry as you would your other linens. (If you're washing with the environment in mind, cold water and hang to dry!)
