Food on-the-go, but without waste

To-go food is a place where sustainability can often be overlooked. The idea of using a bag or foil we won't have to clean can seem so easy, and we often tell ourselves "just this one time," but those times add up and our carbon footprint grows.

The amount of information and products out there can be daunting to wade through for the average consumer, but, lucky for you, that's literally what we're here for. Below, we've called outa few of our MVPs to help make your transition into sustainable food travel simpler.

Stainless Steel Cutlery Set: Have you ever met a spork that actually worked for any of its intended purposes? Neither have we. However, we're partial to this stainless steel set that perfectly nests into a compact carrying case so you won't accidentally stab yourself & don't have to worry about dirty utensils floating around in your bag. Dishwasher-safe.

Glass Lunch Bowl: This lightweight glass storage bowl checks more than a couple boxes with a screw-on stainless steel lid to eliminate leakage entirely, silicone lid to prevent splattering, and a sustainably sourced wood fiber base making it easy to hold straight from the heat source without the risk of burning. Microwave safe (except for stainless steel lid), oven safe (except wood fiber base), and dishwasher safe.

Thermo Pot: This nifty stainless steel pot keeps your food hot for 6 hours & cold for 8 hours. It's also 100% leakproof with a spoon that conveniently magnetizes to the side of the pot. Hand wash with warm soap & water.

Stainless Steel Lunch Box: This bento-style lunch box features a silicone gasket to prevent leakages, a slider divider to easily separate your foods if you're someone who doesn't like them to touch, and a stainless steel fork that has its own slot in the outer band. Oven safe without lid. Hand wash for longevity (though it's fine in the dishwasher in a pinch).

Stainless Steel Sandwich Box: You know how you go to eat your lunch and wish your veggies were more fresh? This lunch box makes that fresh veggie life a reality with its bamboo lid that also functions as a cutting board. This container is not water-tight, so it's better for your lunches of a solid nature. Hand wash.

Waxed Canvas Lunch Bag: The iconic paper sack lunch bag. But make it durable & environmentally conscious. The waxed nature aids in preventing water from easily getting to your stored goods while still remaining supple enough to bend/fold/roll in whatever ways your heart desires. We recommend hand washing, but machine washing on warm and hang drying is an option if necessary.

Stashers: These handy bags eliminate plastic bags entirely. Plus, they come in a variety of sizes for all your sandwich, snack & otherwise to-go food needs. Not to mention they can be baked, boiled, and frozen. Dishwasher safe. Microwave safe. And we have a handy bag drying rack to enhance your bag cleaning regiment.

Abeego Beeswax: Struggling to find a container for that coveted lunchtime pizza slice or in a rush to get out the door with your bowl of potato salad? This beeswax wrap is your answer. In addition, its breathability keeps products that prefer more airflow fresh longer, and it only requires the heat of your hands to mould. Hand wash in cold water with gentle dish soap and avoid contact with direct heat.
