Drop one stick of Binchotan charcoal directly into a bottle or pitcher of water to absorb chemicals and metals that exist in small (but unhealthy) amounts on most tap water systems. Activated charcoal has been shown to absorb chlorine, lead, mercury, arsenic, and cadmium from well and municipal tap water.
How it works:Binchotan charcoal has an incredibly porous surface with tiny cavities oriented in many directions. It is commonly referred to as "activated charcoal," because of the activation of its ionic charge that attracts contaminants to that porous surface where they are absorbed. The activated charcoal simultaneously releases trace minerals such as calcium, iron and magnesium back into the water, enhancing its taste and contributing to the health benefits.
Filters last up to 6 months with proper care, and can then be used to fight odor in your fridge or closet.
