A customer-favorite, tried and true. Once your wear out the head of your brush, simply replace just the head rather than having to buy a whole new brush altogether.

Materials: Beechwood handle, agave plant bristles, metal hardware

Dimensions: 9" L handle & head; head is 1¾" D brush back (fits Lola brush as well)

Care & Use Instructions: Use as you would any dish cleaning apparatus: soap up and scrub. Allow to dry when not in use (hand features metal loop for easy hang-drying). Each brush head can be used for 1-6 months, depending on frequency of use and intensity of job. Do not leave any of the wood parts soaking in water, the wood will absorb water and it will cause the wood to swell and crack, or the metal pieces to come out.

If you find your brush head is not drying between uses, dip it in vinegar occasionally to help kill bacteria.

The handle should last for a couple years with normal usage. Don't apply undue pressure on the handle or it will break.

Replacing the brush head: The first time, it is a little stiff to bend the wires and you may need to use a pair of pliers to loosen it (use caution). We've found great luck with using a fork to slide the wire down too. The subsequent times, you can use strong fingers to squeeze the wires together, loosen the metal grip, and pop off the brush head. Just slide a new brush head on and push the metal grip that holds it tight back up. Voilà.

Please note: The replacement head has been redesigned to have longer bristles and a thicker bamboo head that is less prone to cracking. It is designed to last longer and create more suds when you wash dishes. The past and current designs are interchangeable on your existing brush handle. See last image of the new design.

Awesome brush, low cost, low impact!

I used to have a scrub brush similar to this, but for a while switch to Scrub Daddy brand sponges which I really loved because they smiled at you and I needed that.

I decided it was time to consider their impact given that they are made from crude oil that supports the oil industry.

Ware had the perfect brush. I like it a lot, for only $9 it will be long lasting. That's a great price for the time it is expected to last. Some sustainable products have a poor design or are really expensive (which can feel exclusive for the customer aka me living within my means), but this is not the case for this brush.

I wish the handle was slightly curved for ergonomics (maybe next time I'll try the curved brush they sell too) and I do wish the bristles were slightly more stiff, but overall its doing great and looks great too. I like that it has a metal hanger and that the head can be removed to be swapped or to just use without the handle.

I always appreciate Ware for their selection and dedication to education, sustainability, and keeping things aesthetically heavenly. And it is great that they carry the replacement heads. What a gift to have a local store like Ware!

So much better than the plastic ones

We use it every day and love it with the dish block! Though a really effective dish brush, the bristles are softer than plastic which seems to be nicer to our dishes. We had to replace ours after about a year and a half because we started storing it brush side up when we moved a few months ago and it rotted out the joint, so definitely make sure you use the brush stand Ware sells or just hang it with something you already have. We found that if we hang it from an old key holder placed close to the sink it can drain directly into the sink and also holds our Ware bottle brush.

Love Love Love

Getting used to using a longer handled brush after using a sponge is a little learning curve but youll be glad you did it. NOT getting my hands all up in the dish sink soap & gunk is a blessing. Pair the handled brush with the Vegan Dish Block, simple as that.

So handy!

This was the sink upgrade I didn't know I needed. I love this dish brush, it's easily the best product of its kind I've come across. Perfect for both gentle cleaning and messier dishes, and will last you longer than you might think.
