A Wavy-Maven Take on Plastic-Free Conditioner

A Wavy-Maven Take on Plastic-Free Conditioner

To my curly hair friends, finding products that work is a quest. I have type 3A hair,  so my hair is thin, curly, and I have a lot of it. My intention for hair-care includes frizz-eliminating, moisture quenching essentials that don’t weigh my hair down. I’m a low-maintenance kind of gal when it comes to getting ready and I pride myself on the fact that my morning routine takes less than 20 minutes. Not only that, but I seek out companies that use natural products, cruelty-free, and understand their responsibility to the earth through recyclable packaging. All-in-all, quality-over-quantity is a core value that I hold within my interactions and purchases.

With an oversaturated market of  products that don’t benefit my hair or mother nature WHAT-SO-EVER, I was more than ready to try the Bottle None conditioner. Their company name says it all, these sweet little bars don’t come in a plastic bottle, and they’re easily stored right next to your soap in the shower. Bottle None also doesn’t leave my hair waxy like other plastic-free bars have. Instead, it keeps my curls moisturized throughout the day. I’ve only experienced this kind of silky smooth texture with overpriced salon shampoo! So what’s the trick to applying this little guy on your hair? All you have to do is gently rub it in your hair, starting at the ends, and slowly work your way up to the roots. I like to leave the conditioner in my hair for a minute or so while I wash my face or brush my teeth. A little goes a long way! My bar has shrunk to half its size and it’s been two months since I purchased it. Still not convinced? Here’s proof of its magic:
